How to add staff using the Staff Center in HQ?

I want to assign login pin/ employee ID/ work timings to my staff.

Staff Center allows the owner to add and manage the restaurant’s staff. In the HQ, an owner can manage the staff of all the outlets in one space. Some of the properties assigned to a staff member are- Employee ID, Outlet access, Role, Login Pin(for POS), HQ access(if given), and work timings. Once an employee is added to the Staff Center, he will receive a text confirmation including the login pin on his provided contact details. 


Steps

       Step 1- Login to your HQ account.

        Step 2-  Navigate to the ‘Staff Center’ option from the side menu.

        Step 3-  Open the Manage Staff tab from the title bar. 

   

             Click on Add Staff button in the top right corner.


        Step 4-  Now, follow a two-step process. First, enter the staff’s information like Name, Employee ID,  Email Address, Phone, Gender, and Photo. It should be noted that providing a phone number is necessary here as the staff login pin will be sent to this number.

  

   

        Step 5- Next step is to assign a role and login pin to the staff. Here, in the Outlet Access tab, select the outlet for which the staff has been hired from the drop-down menu. Enter his designation into the Designation tab. Further, in the Roles tab, select the role of the member in the outlet from the drop-down menu. You can also add new roles and provide varying access(to POS & HQ) to them as per the requirement, click here to know more. 

  

A four-digit pin will be auto-generated in the Enter New Pin tab. You can generate a new one by clicking the Generate New Pin option on the right. This pin has to be used by the staff for logging into POS and starting their day. This pin will be sent to the provided contact number-   



This is what the POS lock screen looks like. Upon entering the pin, an option to clock in will come up on the screen. Once clocked in, staff attendance will be marked as present in the system. To know more about attendance, click here.


         




Further, you can also specify the working days and hours of the staff by clicking on the Add More button. 

  

In the above case, Rachel is a server at the outlet and hence won’t have access to the HQ as shown in the screenshot below. 

However, for the roles with access to HQ like Marketing, another tab will come up on the screen asking for an Email ID. Now, once the staff has been added to the system, they will receive an email and an sms on the provided mail address and phone number to complete their profile and set a login password for HQ. The email address entered in the ENTER EMAIL (FOR ACCESS TO HQ) has to be used while login into the HQ.

      For the roles with access to both HQ and POS, staff will receive both Login Pin and Registration link.


        Step 6- Click on the Save button once all the staff details are added.
