Adding time slots for the purpose of EOD report generation.
For outlets operating multiple shifts during a day, or open after midnight, the reporting hours feature is really helpful.
Reporting hours are pre-set filters that the owner can set and use to generate the EOD report based on the operating hours of the outlet. Since the reports like Sales, orders, promotions, etc. show the transactions till 11:59 pm only, the merchant can rely on EOD reports by specifying the reporting hours. For example, if a restaurant operates till 2 am, the owner may want to check the transactions done till then in the EOD report. For this purpose, he will have to create a slot from 9 am(assuming the start time) to 2 am.
Having a pre-added reporting hour slot enables you to select it directly in the Reports section instead of choosing a custom time every time. You can add reporting hours either from the Edit Restaurant section or directly from the EOD Reports section.
Step 1- Login into your POS.
Step 2- Navigate to the ‘Edit Restaurant Details’ section.
Step 3- Click on the ‘Edit’ button on the right.
Step 4- Scroll down to the ‘Shift Timings’ section.
Step 5- Click on the ‘Add More’ option.
Step 6- New Row will be Added. Fill in details like Slot Name and Reporting hours in the form as done in the screenshot attached. Here, the slot name is ‘End of Day Report’
Step 7 - Set the timings for which the report is to be generated for us the timing is 8am - 09pm.
Step 8 - Select Start time as 8am
Step 9 - Select Start time as 09pm
Step 10 - Once the time is confirm select “Set Time From
You can mark a slot as default as well.
Step 11- Save and Refresh.
Step 12 - Now navigate to the ‘Reports’ section
Step 13 See the top right corner there is an option to select shift timing and Date
Step 14 Select the ‘END OF DAY REPORT’ option from the Title bar.
Step 8- Select the date for which you want to generate the report and from the drop-down, you can either choose custom time or select the slot you’ve added earlier
A report for that time slot will be generated.
