How to start a Loyalty program for my outlet/s?

I want to enable loyalty cashback for customers placing orders from my restaurant.

Easyeat provides a program called loyalty cashback to the outlets using which they can increase the number of returning customers by rewarding them with cashback on every order they place. The workflow can be better understood with the chart below-

This helps in retaining customers in long term. Certain points to be kept in mind-

  • The loyalty program can be enabled/ edited from HQ
  • All the outlets under the same HQ will have the same loyalty status
  • Customers can utilize cashback earned from an outlet in the same outlet or any other outlet in the same chain                                                                                        
For QR orders, customers usually redeem cashback themselves from the cart, but for the orders created in the POS, staff has to enter the customer's details while placing the order. This way they can even see the loyalty cashback that a specific customer has in his account. Learn more about it here

Steps to start a loyalty program-

       Step 1- Login to your HQ account.

       Step 2- Navigate to the Loyalty section from the side menu.

                        

       Step 3- Click on the ‘Let’s Get Started’ button. Enter the Percentage Cashback you want to provide to your customers on every order they place. It has to be noted that the cashback will be a percentage of the discounted item value.

Next, you can set a minimum order value to redeem cashback i.e. if a customer’s cart value is less than this value he will not be able to use the cashback he has in his account while placing the order. To set the minimum order value to earn cash back, refer to step 5.

Further, you can set the expiration period for the cashback too from the drop-down in the Cashback expiry days tab. The customer won’t be able to use his loyalty cashback to place orders post-expiration of this period.

In case, you want to exclude any sub-category from the loyalty program, you can select the same from the drop-down menu in the Select subcategory to exclude from the loyalty program tab. If any item from the selected subcategories is added to the cart, no loyalty cashback will be added to the customer’s account for that item. 

Lastly, you can also specify the order type for which the customer will be eligible to earn cashback from the Applicable on the order type tab.

In the above screenshot, customers will get 10% cashback for all order types on all the items in the menu with no expiry date and can be redeemed if the next order value is more than RM 20.

       Step 4- Click on the Next button. If you want to promote the loyalty offer on the onboarding screen, you may do so by clicking on the Yes button and filling in the heading and text in the tabs, and choosing the template.

                              

Click on the Start Loyalty Program button.

       Step 5-  Next step is to set the minimum order value to earn cashback. If the customer’s cart is less than this value then he won’t earn any cashback in his account.

                           

It has to be noted by default this value is 0. We have changed it to RM 10.

                            

Click on the Save button to update the loyalty status.

To conclude, if a customer places an order of RM 30 he will get RM 3 cashback in his account once the order is completed. 

Pause Loyalty

The owner can pause loyalty for all the outlets under the same HQ if he doesn’t want to proceed with it anymore. However, it is strongly advised not to do so as it will lead to customer dissatisfaction and may impact the business negatively in the long term. 

It should be noted that pausing loyalty won’t stop the customers from redeeming existing cashback in their Easyeat account. They just won’t be able to earn more cashback when they place orders.

To disable loyalty click on the LOYALTY toggle in the settings sub-section to turn it grey. And save it

 

         

The loyalty will be disabled for all the outlets.
