How to Add/Edit a table in POS?

 I want to add a new table in a section/I want to customize a table or change its name.

This article contains two sections, namely-

  1. How to create a new table in an outlet?
  2. How to edit an existing table in an outlet?

How to create a new table in an outlet?


  The owner can add tables in two ways, the first being the bulk addition that we have discussed in the How to Add/Edit a section in POS article and the second one is to create one table at a time. 

Each table is assigned a table number, QR code, and other properties like section, seating capacity, and shape. It should be noted that a maximum of 3 characters can be used while setting the table number. The QR code can be downloaded using the Download option below. 

While creating a new order in POS, staff has to specify the table no. to be served. This is what a table looks like in POS.


Steps

     Step 1-  Login into your POS

     Step 2-  Navigate to the ‘Sections & Printers’ section from the side menu. Locate the 'Tables’ section in the title bar.

          


    

      Step 3- Click on the ‘Add Table’ button on the top right corner of the screen. 

           

A dialog box will appear. Fill in the details like Table Number, Seating Capacity, Section, and Table Shape in the box and click the ‘Save’ button to create a new table.



Here, we have created a circular table numbered A1 with a seating capacity of 2 in the Rooftop section.

How to edit an existing table in an outlet?


The owner can change properties like Table number, shape, seating capacity, and section where the table lies.


Steps

     Step 1-  Login into your POS. 

     Step 2-  Navigate to the ‘Sections & Printers’ section from the side menu. Locate the ‘Tables’ section in the title bar.

          



   Step 3- Select the section where the table lies from the dropdown menu. Here, we have selected Dine In Section.

       

   Step 4- Select the table you want to edit from the list. Table details will show up on the screen. Click on the Edit option below.

 A dialog box will appear with the table’s details filled in. After making changes based on your requirements, click on the ‘Save’ button below.

Here, we have changed the section from Dine In to Ground Section. It can be seen in the below-attached snap that Table C1 has been shifted from the Dine-In section to Ground Section.
