A1: You can set up the table bookings module for your restaurant by accessing the ‘Table Bookings tab’ from the side navigation bar in the EasyEat POS. Follow the 9-step process to configure booking settings such as operating days, time slots, seating capacity, and booking charges.


Q2: What are the benefits of enabling table bookings for my restaurant?

A2: Enabling table bookings allows you to efficiently manage your restaurant's seating capacity, reduce wait times for diners, and potentially increase revenue through bookings. Giving your diners an option to book a table in advance, especially in times like Ramadhan can help you drive more sales and improve your customers’ dining experience.


Q3: Can I customize the operating days and time slots for table bookings according to my restaurant's schedule?

A3: Yes, you can customize the operating days and time slots based on your restaurant's schedule. EasyEat provides flexibility for you to set specific days and time intervals when you want to accept bookings from your customers.


Q4: Is there a limit to the number of bookings my restaurant can accept per day?

A4: There's no strict limit to the number of bookings your restaurant can accept per day. However, you can manage booking availability based on your restaurant's capacity and preferences by adjusting settings such as seating capacity and time slots.


Q5: How do I receive notification of new booking requests, and how do I accept or reject them?

A5: If you’ve enabled auto auto-accept feature, you won’t need to review every booking request. All the bookings can be accessed directly from the table bookings dashboard. In case you’ve enabled the auto-accept feature, you can review every booking request from a tab named ‘Booking Requests’ placed in the top right corner of the table bookings dashboard.


Q6. What happens if I need to cancel a booking after it has been confirmed?

A6: If you need to cancel a booking after it's been confirmed, you can do so through the POS itself. Diners will be notified accordingly on the EasyEat User App.


Q7. Can I charge a fee for table bookings, and if so, how is this fee managed?

A7: Yes, you have the option to charge a fee for table bookings. You can set up booking charges, specifying whether the fee is per booking or per person and whether it's adjusted in the final bill or charged separately.


Q8. How do I handle situations where a diner requests a booking for a larger group than my restaurant can accommodate?

A8: In such cases, you can specify the maximum seating capacity for bookings in your settings. Diners will only be able to book within the available capacity, preventing overbooking and ensuring a smooth dining experience.


Q9. What if a diner cancels a booking last minute? Can I impose a penalty or charge for cancellations?

A9: You can set a minimum cancellation time in your booking settings. The diner won’t be able to cancel the booking during that window and any booking fee won’t be refunded. 


Q10: Is there a way to track how many bookings have I got at my restaurant on a particular day?

A10: Yes, you can track total bookings, as well as the total PAX, served via reservations on a particular right from the table bookings dashboard.


Q11: How can I track the how much amount has the customer paid for a table booking?
A11: With every booking, you’ll see the amount that has paid by the customer as the advanced booking fee

Q12: How will I receive this table booking fee?
A12: The table booking fee will be settled to you once every week on Monday. You can track it under the ‘Others’ section in your settlement report
